Nice repair. This plane is so beautiful.

Concerning first flights I am working as follow:
On the slope, with some nice Wind, I am running with the glider in my hands and I am "feeling" the movement. Up or down? It give you already good informations.

Thanks a lot for your encouraging comments.
A slope is certainly a good place for a first flight. Regretfully, the only slope in our region has a very nasty landing terrain, very, very small, with barbed wire around it and a lots of turbulence, with a modern glider with brakes is still tricky.
So we are going to tow it, nice flat field and I have adapted some controls, less elevator and more wing warping, so I hope for the best.

I have had the honour of witnessing the first flights of the Fokker yesterday. It was beautiful!

I have not been able to fully enjoy the view of this magnificent plane, because I've been looking at it only through my various cameras, but the resulting photos and video make up a lot for that.

Thanks very much for making this wunderful film and the also the pictures
I am very glad the FG-2 flew, still some work on it, we think th c.g. is too for in front ( it flew with about 10 degrees elevator up)
But it flew! and the anemometer really turns

Ce n'est pas évident votre piste, atterrissage de l'autre côté du canal, faut pas aller dans l'eau
On a hâte de le voir évoluer à hauteur des yeux cet été à Vauville surtout ne l'abîme pas avant Retroplane!

To start; the FG-2 had a lot of things unknown to me, so I am very glad it worked out well!!

About the canal; this flight terrain is an former military airfield, which is now demolished. Sometimes ditches and small humps appear, but we are very glad to have a place to fly in this crowded piece of the world!!
Yesterday we had all things together; the tow plane, the photographer and good weather, only the wind came from an unusual direction. This stretch of tarmac was the only place for take off, and the other side of the canal was grass and the only place to land without damage.
Surely I try not to damage it before Vauville!!
Now I can do the finishing touches!

Yes I went directly from handlaunch to towing. I have very little experience with "le sandow", thats why.

On the pictures is the nice transfer from Adri and Rob, this is how it looks;
